In two short days I have learned many new strategies to implement not only as a classroom environment but in my life as a mother as well.
Mike was really engaging to listen to. He used his own strategies to navigate through his talk. It is nice to go to a workshop that gives actual strategies and isn’t just a lecture about ideas!

I have at least three goals set that I will start tomorrow! The time and energy to reflect is nice but particularly when structured. Colleague time is always a rejuvenator as well!

Challenge through choice was an excellent experience! I gleaned many bits of wisdom to put to use in my classroom intentionally! The conversations about teacher language and praise were incredibly thought-provoking, not only within my classroom, but also with my personal children!
As a first year teacher I am so glad I got to experience this workshop with Mike. He gave us so many new resources and activities that I am eager to try out in my first classroom. Thank you!
Mike, you brought together a group of people who believe in SEL and managed to bring us closer to a collective understanding of the topic and the beginnings of a path toward action. You did NOT bring us a boiler plate.
Thank you for reminding me/us what education should look and be like.
This workshop was a fantastic way to be reflective about my current practices and ways that I can make learning as purposeful, engaging, and relevant to ALL of my students. I left the workshop with significantly more tools in the box than I arrived with.
I wish I had this training as a new teacher. Mike’s message is invaluable!
